typical Grant woven silk postcard of vintage motorcar

POSTCARDS

manufactured by William H Grant

Grant produced a wide range of woven silk designs which were mounted as postcards, Christmas cards, greetings cards or mounted in cards which were bigger than the normal postcard size. Some of these large cards had the additional "Souvenir of the Franco-British Exhibition, 1908" wording added. Below is a comprehensive list of all these cards.
Geoffrey Godden, in his book 'Stevengraphs and other Victorian silk pictures' listed some 120 postcard titles. With the inclusion of the alternative mounts, and with more recent information, the catalogue below now has in excess of 340 records.
