Comments:
Whilst the woven silk is a genuine Stevens, and the embossing around the silk opening is also that of Stevens, it should be noted that the only version of this card that has been seen was postally used with the postmark clearly saying: QUEENSTOWN 2.PM MR 8. Whilst the Titanic sailed from Southampton to Queenstown before its fateful final journey, this took place on 11 April. The postmark is clearly March 8th, well before Titanic's sea trials (2 April 1912), and more than a month before she arrived in Queenstown.

Whilst the woven silk is a genuine Stevens, and the embossing around the silk opening is also that of Stevens, it should be noted that the card itself seems to have been published in France, as the reverse has the words across the middle: Modèle déposé - H. S {being " Registered Design "} - as shown in this extract image of the back:

Comments:
The postcard above was posted on-board the Titanic, having been written by a Third-Class passenger, Henry Olsen, and is postmarked Queenstown 3.45pm April 11th. The postcard reads: S.S. TitanicIt is believed this is the only Stevens Hands Across The Sea postcard to have actually been posted on-board the Titanic. It is unknown however why the Norwegian flag features on this card, as there would appear to be no association with Norway at all.
