The version above with no woven title is typically included in the Stevens rosette, recorded as se160, where the bottom end would be rounded. The version above however has the top turned over, and the bottom folded as a point, so clearly intended as a bookmark. Below is an image of the reverse of this bookmark, and as can be seen, there is no woven weavers name on either the top turn-over, nor reverse pointed end.
It is not known if the bookmark with the woven title is signed on the reverse, although as it is contained within the Stevens Family Album, presented to The Alfred Herbert Museum, there can be little doubt it is of T.STEVENS manufacture.  view of reverse of version with no woven title, showing there is no woven weavers name |
