This triple card is of course not a postcard as such, in that it would not be posted, but retained as a souvenir.
The structure though is made up of three ordinary postcards, joined together with a fabric strip, to form a fold over "book". This triple card has also been seen with the DUBLIN EXHIBITION, 1907 postcard being the version with the fountain. At the time of writing, only two of these triple cards are known, the one above, and a second relating to the Cartwright Memorial Inaugural Exhibition Bradford 1904. It is quite possible therefore that they were not well received by the exhibition visitors, and were discontinued very early. |
