Godden does not record this title.
Other comments:
This silk is actually a loose silk, slotted each end into a card to give it support.
There is no woven credit to W. H. Grant.
However, on the reverse of the card is written in hand writing:
" Woven by W. H. Grant, of Coventry
at the International
Inventors Exhibition
London 1885 "
Whilst not conclusive, I do also have in my collection, the silk which features on gt810 - Ye Olde London Streete which is mounted in an identical fashion, with the same manuscript note on the back.
I have seen this kind of mounting for these two silks several times, and it would seem that visitors to the exhibition could purchase the silks mounted in this fashion.
I have never seen the silk above properly mounted, so do not know it's proper title.
