Comments:
RMS Aquitania was built by John Brown & Company of Glasgow in 1914. Her maiden voyage was on 30 May 1914 bound to New York from Liverpool, and at the time she was the largest ship afloat. The Aquitania was the longest serving Cunard liner built in the 20th Century and was sister to the Lusitania and Mauretania.

The Aquitania's passenger accommodation was superior to anything seen on the North Atlantic before, with 597 1st Class, 614 2nd Class, and 2,052 3rd Class cabins. The first class drawing room was decorated in the Adam Style, with the walls adorned with prints of English Seaports and portraits of Royalty and prominent people of the day.
