The embossing on the card around the central woven silk is clearly that of Thomas Stevens, and hence this card is attributed to his manufacture.
Whilst the words above the silk are modified, and there is no ships name below, the card above is the same as a Stevens Hands Across the Sea postcard. The identical nature of the card reinforces the opinion that Stevens sold complete cards to Alpha, and not just the silk panels. | ||||
