This imposing large Stevengraph would form the centrepiece of any collection of silk portraits. The card-mount measures 10 1/10 inches by 7 2/5 inches with a window-size of 6 1/2 inches by 4 1/10 inches. The picture includes a central portrait of Queen Victoria, surrounded by the portraits of the nine Prime Ministers who held office between 1835 and 1886.
The title first appears on label 23+26+2 of late 1887. The early issues are mounted on type C2 card-mounts, which normally have the Royal Crown with the letters V.R. printed above the panel. Subsequent runs are mounted on type E card-mounts, without the crown and initials. Other comments:
