There are two versions of silk portraits with this same title. One is recorded above and the other, with Mary in full regalia, is recorded as so384.

The portrait above was originally created by Stevens with the title of H.R.H. The Duchess of Cornwall & York (recorded as so608), although with woven title below the portrait. That design was registered on 8 May 1901, with number 373873.

Upon the elevation of the Duke to Prince of Wales, the same portrait design of Mary was modified to change the woven title, but not the design, to be H.R.H. The Princess of Wales, recorded as so552.

Again upon the Prince's elevation to King, this same portrait of Mary was again modified to remove the woven reference to Princess of Wales, but with the new printed title on the card matt.
