This imposing, long, narrow silk shows a full-length representation of the standing Virgin Mary.

The title THE IMMACULATE is included amongst the scenic Stevengraphs (not amongst the list of portraits) on labels from 31+31 of 1895 into the twentieth century. It is one of the rarest subjects, but it also occurs on large-size book-marker ribbons.

This silk is usually seen only with the French title, " L' Immaculee Conception ".
