by Godden:
Benjamin Harrison, born on 20 August 1833, served in the Union army during the American Civil War and was a member of the senate for Indiana from 1881 to 1893. He later returned to law and was a member of the International Court of Arbitration, as established by the Hague Peace Conference.
The former President Harrison died on 13 March 1901.

The Stevens silk portrait shows 'B. Harrison' (sometimes with the wording 'President of the United States') facing half left above the shield and flags of the United States and the President's signature.

The title was listed on label 29+38 but, as far as I can trace, not on any other printed label. It was therefore sold for only a short period and is consequently very rare.

Other comments:
Godden does not record this variation of printed label.

His reference to back label 29+38 would date to circa 1893/1894. This period correlates to the date of the Exposition, and to the ending of Harrison's term as President.
