This landscape-view Stevengraph is the pair to THE FIRST POINT [st204]. The title was first included on back-label 15 or 16, introduced in the summer of 1880. But as the subject was apparently not popular, the title was discontinued after label 21+31+2 of 1887 - although the companion picture THE FIRST POINT was listed up to label 23+34.
THE SLIP is found affixed to type B card-mounts; and although late examples might occur on type C mounts, the subject is comparatively rare.

There are two versions of this picture.
The version above displays the two chasing dogs with their heads close together.
The alternative version, {recorded as st537} displays the head of one of the dogs being set back.
