The male rider on the black horse in the centre of the picture is wearing a blue jacket, instead of the customary red.
From a weaving perspective, it would seem that this was a deliberate change of colour.

The pair to "THE MEET" is "THE DEATH", and it is to be noted that there is a colour variant with this silk too [see st122 on this site], with the male rider in the background wearing a blue jacket. Perhaps Stevens intended these two silks to be a genuine pair.
