Godden too says that this portrait silk was probably issued only in calendar form, and that the rare mounted portraits are probably re-mounts of calendar silks.

The name of the distributor on the image above is "Mr. H.M. Swales, 5 Gore Street, Piccadilly, Manchester", and it is unusual to find this name.
The image below though, whilst identical to the one above, has the name of "Mr. T. Reid, 81 Virginia Street, Glasgow,", and most of these calendars have his name.
