ROYAL PORCH
THE MINT AND COURLAY'S HOUSE

Size:

Composed of three panels
each measuring cm by cm.

Comments:
The case is made of gold coloured velvet, and there is no name of the weaver on the needle case.
The woven silk view of the Royal Porch however is identical to the image on Stevens' multiple silk picture, titled [A Present from the Edinburgh International Exhibition, 1886 [st36 on this site], so there can be no doubt this needle case is of Stevens manufacture.

In addition, this needle case has been seen in its original cardboard box, the lid of which had the usual Stevens logo stamped on the top:-
