each measuring cm by cm.

Comments:
The case is made of a coloured velvet, brown and blue in the examples above, and as can be seen, " THOMAS STEVENS, COVENTRY " is printed on the paper packet containing the actual needles.
The view of the Crystal Palace is also identical to the image on Stevens' bookmark [sb2660 - Woven in the Machinery Department, Crystal Palace / The late Sir Joseph Paxton]

The numbers printed on the front of the needle packet is the English sizes of needle.
