As can be seen there is no name woven on the reverse of this favour, although the President of the Stevengraph Collectors Association reports that this ribbon has been identified as of STEVENS manufacture at the Coventry Herbert Museum.

In his later life, Gladstone was known as the " G.O.M. ", being GRAND OLD MAN.
