Neither bookmark is signed on the reverse with the STEVENS name.
It is believed that Mannion was an agent of STEVENS, and at this Exposition, both STEVENS and Mannion had looms working. It is also believed, although not proven, that Mannion used the same cards as STEVENS.
Research also suggests that bookmarks attached to stiff backing paper with the printed words " SOUVENIR WOVEN AT THE . . " were made by STEVENS. Those bookmarks attached to stiff backing paper with the printed words " SOUVENIR OF DISCOVERY . . " were made by Mannion.
Below are images of identical bookmarks, one attached to the stiff backing paper with STEVENS name printed, the other with no printed name. It is assumed these two are examples of the research outcome.
