| Alternative back-ground colours: | Various colours have been used. Three versions shown, one has blue leaves and the bottom motif is in red, a second with dark blue leaves and the bottom motif is in drab, and a third with mauve leaves and the bottom motif is in dark green. |

The Shakespeare's Tercentenary Commemoration bookmarks were issued in a set of three, being retained by a button, and this design is the top one. This top one is the only one with the actual words "Tercentenary Commemoration".
All three were also issued seperately. When issued with the button, all three had pointed tops; when issued singly they usually had a flat top, although as can be seen from one of the images above, mitred topped ones also have the bookmark tassle. Also note that it is only the top silk which has the woven Stevens name, although very unusually, this was actually in the design of the silks making the reverse of the surround to Shakespeare's head.
