A framed copy of the black bookmark above has been seen with the inscription " Betsie C. Ireland - Presented by her parents Joseph and Elizabeth Ireland on the occasion of her marriage - Muskegon Mich. Aug. 22nd 1877 ". This nicely gives an early date of production.
