Godden records this design as having been registered on 23 June 1862 (No. 152686). As can be seen however from the image above, there is no Diamond Registration mark woven on the reverse.

The bookmark woven in black silk has also been seen with the earlier signature woven on the reverse top turn-over, and no signature at the pointed end:

"T.STEVENS. WELCH & LENTON"
