Godden records this design as being registered on 25 July 1862,
and the Diamond Registration mark is sometimes woven on the reverse:
Whilst this silk bears the credit Odell & French, Manfr., Welch & Lenton, Drafts, Godden records that the official registration was awarded to Welch & Lenton. Reverend Sidney Henry Widdrington was born on 16 December 1803, and died on 23 July 1870. He was vicar of St. Michaels from 1858 to 1863. |
