There is also a woven Diamond Registration mark on the reverse pointed end, although this design was not registered.
There are three very similar Welch & Lenton bookmarks recorded, the differences being only the titles.
The first of these titles was registered, on 27 April 1874, being THE COMPLIMENTS OF THE SEASON /(girl feeding robin in snow) / I stood with delight . . (recorded as owe612).
Both the bookmark above, and the third title, I WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS / I stood with delight . . (recorded as owe424), have the same woven Diamond Registration mark, although neither was in fact registered.
