Signed: "WELCH & LENTON. COVENTRY" on the back top turnover.
There is also an incomplete Diamond Registration Mark woven on the reverse pointed end, even though this design was not registered:

The bookmark shown above is still attached to the stiff backing paper used to support it in the post, and on that paper is printed the name: " THOMAS W. BAND, Manufacturer, COVENTRY. " The design of this printed logo though is that of Welch & Lenton.
As the actual silk bookmark is signed "WELCH & LENTON. COVENTRY", thereby confirming it is of their manufacture, whilst the printed name on the backing paper is that of THOMAS W BAND, it can be assumed that BAND was either an agent for Welch & Lenton or a marketing outlet.

This bookmark is identical to Bollans - recorded as obo364
