Whilst Brough Nicholson & Hall wove this bookmark, it was actually made for the American market,
where it is known and marketed as an " Eaglegraph ".

This 104th Imperial Council bookmark relates to the convention of THE SHRINE, which was founded as an all male fraternal organization that could allow grown men occasionally to act as little boys. Its greater purpose though was to fund hospitals for crippled children.
THE SHRINE was formerly known as The Imperial Council of the Ancient Arabic Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine for North America - being the letters on the ribbon of this bookmark - A A O N M S.

As can be seen, this bookmark relates to the REPRESENTATIVE, and as such would probably have been worn with a pin in the jacket lapel. There is also recorded a more general bookmark, recorded as obn116 - 104th Imperial Council Session / 1978 / Detroit Michigan July 10-14
