Interestingly, the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum, Coventry also have a copy of this bookmark, and their version is still attached to a different stiff backing paper, with the printed name "THOMAS W. BAND"
I have recorded elsewhere that Welch & Lenton bookmarks have been seen attached to these THOMAS W. BAND stiff backing papers. Maybe the " L " of L & S relates to LENTON?
