This bookmark was probably issued inside a special fold-over card, although that is not presented above. The front would have had the title printed, and Franklin's name would have been printed on the reverse.
In the absence of Franklin's printed name, it is assumed this bookmark to be of his manufacture. In particular, the woven imitation tassles, which do not spread the full width of the bookmark, is highly typical of Franklin. |
