ANNE HATHAWAY'S COTTAGE
This world-famous building, originally a spacious farmhouse,
with its lovely garden and orchard, was the early home of
Shakespeare's wife, Anne Hathaway, and of the Hathaway
family of yeoman farmers. The building, part of which dates
from the fifteenth century, has a thatched roof and walls of
timber-framing. The cottage contains some fine furniture of
Shakespeare's day, including relics of the Hathaway family.
