This picture is one of a set of two, the other being The Tandem.
 
Back label confirms this picture was copied from an ACKERMANN print, after Henry Alken (1785-1851).
The CASH'S name is printed on the back label, where it also confirms these pictures were woven in pure silk.
Both pictures were numbered, issues being limited to 3000, with " THE TANDEM " being the " a ", and this picture, " THE FOUR-IN-HAND " being the " b " picture.
