It would seem probable this bookmark was issued to commemorate the beatification of Cardinal John Henry Newman.
The Bookmark Society note that this bookmark was issued in 2010, with the Cardinal wearing a black vest. There was later an issue of the same bookmark, except with the Cardinal wearing a blue vest. Only 5 of these were however made. |
