Comments: | by Geoffrey Godden: Other comments: Since 2008, recorded on this site is a rosette, comprising two ribbons with portraits of H.M King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra {recorded as gr100: Rosette: Coronation - Edward VII & Alexandra}. Both these ribbons are identified as being of Grant manufacture as both have woven Registration Numbers. The Queen Alexandra ribbon has the same title as the portrait above and of a very similar design. The difference being that on the portrait above, the two Coats of Arms are positioned between the woven title and the portrait, whilst on the rosette, these Coats of Arms appear at the bottom, below the final words. Importantly though, as the rosette ribbon has the woven 370915 Registration Number, which is registered as the normal Grant portrait of Alexandra, there can be no doubt the ribbon is of Grant manufacture, and with the similarity of design, that the portrait above is also of Grant manufacture. |
