Other comments:
This rare titled silk comprises the individual silk portraits of the four Empire Makers, being

Major-General Baden Powell {being go68 on this site},

Field Marshal Lord Roberts, V.C. {being go260 on this site},

Sir Redvers Buller V.C. {being go116 on this site}, and

Lord Kitchener of Khartoum {being go240 on this site}
all mounted together on the same card mount.

The War In South Africa (probably better known as the Boer War) was fought from October 1899 until May 1902. Although there is dates printed on the front card mount, the silk itself probably dates to a period after May 1902.
