The two ribbons which make up this rosette were also issued as individual bookmarks.
The Grover Cleveland bookmark is recorded as gb680 - Grover Cleveland / Democratic Candidate / 1888 / White House
and that of Mrs Cleveland as gb1360 - Mrs Cleveland / Bright be thy life.

Whilst it is unknown how the Mrs Cleveland bookmark is signed on the reverse, it is known that the Grover Cleveland bookmark is signed with W.H. GRANT name, so there can be no doubt this rosette was also made by GRANT.
