CROWNED
EDWARD VII   1902   ALEXANDRA

Size:
Of silk: 11.5cm long by 7.0cm wide
Comments:
As can be seen, there is no name nor reference woven on the reverse of this silk.
It is worth noting however that, apart from the top decoration of crown, sceptre etc., this silk is identical to that of the GRANT postcard gc36 - Souvenir of the King's visit to Ireland, July, 1903 (King Edward VII & Queen Alexandra). It is hence reasonable to assume this silk was also made by GRANT.

It should also be noted that as this silk is unfinished, it is possible it was intended to be mounted as another postcard.
