There is a pin attached below the reverse top turnover, so this ribbon could be worn as a favour, possibly to celebrate the actual coronation in 1911.
There is no name nor reference woven on the reverse of this bookmark. However, there is a great deal of similarity as to design, structure and portrait used in the bookmark, gb240: Complimentary Dinner . . . 1911 (incorporating portrait of King George V), which was made by GRANT. There is also a great deal of symmetry to the GRANT postcard gc92 - George V & Mary (with woven title), all be it with the Queen on the Kings left, whilst on his right on the bookmark. reverse view of this ribbon, showing the pin, as well as the absence of any woven weavers name: |
