The name of the owner of these racing silk colours is unknown, although on a website reporting racing colours, in the 1889 entry it has:

BARON de ROTHSCHILD (Leopold de Rothschild):    Dark Blue vest and sleeves, with Yellow cap.

Whilst in the image above, the cap appears to be cream, with fading it is quite possible the original colour was yellow. If that were the case, then the racing colours above would be those of the Baron
