Comments:
Not signed as a STEVENS bookmark, although design components are identical to this bookmark sb1876 which is positively identified as being of Stevens manufacture.

The silk bookmark above has been seen associated with the following stiff backing paper:

stiff backing paper used to support the bookmark in the post
stiff backing paper used to support the bookmark in the post

The layout and wording of this printing is identical to that which appears on the stiff backing paper of bookmark sb4: 1492 - 1892 400th Anniversary in Commemoration of the discovery of America 1492 / . . . , and that bookmark has the JJ Mannion credit woven on the reverse. Mannion is believed to have been an agent of Stevens in the USA at the time of the Exposition.

Just to add layer upon layer, this same layout and wording of the printing is identical to that which appears on the stiff backing paper of bookmark sb1884: (red, white & blue stripe / draped flag) / Souvenir woven in The Worlds Columbian Exposition Chicago 1893 / (building) / U.S. Government Building / (flag & cannon). This bookmark though is also noted as having been attached to an additional stiff backing paper, but with Thomas Stevens name.
