The image above unfortunately has four black stains which are on the silk, although not part of the original design.

There is a back label, with comprehensive listing of the range of Grant woven items. Portrait and Picture titles are recorded as a short entry, indicating that at the time this silk was made, Grant did not consider them to be an important part of his business.
It is interesting to note however that within this list is " River Steamboat Scene ", rather than the actual printed title of " On The Clyde ". It is probably therefore that this silk was used in association with other titles.
